Brand New BMW 3 Series
BMW’s most popular model and the class leading executive car has been given a revamp.
BMW have improved this popular car inside and out by rebuilding the body shape, improving the interior and enhancing the engines. It still comes with its unbelievable drive-train which directs the power of the engines so effectively and the harmoniously balanced suspension and weight distribution. It now features all the benefits of the new EfficientDynamics range meaning higher power, less weight and more fuel economical and lower emissions.
There is now ten choices of engine from the launch with five petrol and five diesel. The all aluminium 330d features third generation common rail diesel technology with precision piezo injectors. It will now produce 245 bhp at 4000 rpm and do 0-62 mph in just 6.1 seconds. The increased fuel economy means emissions are now just 152 g/km and the automatic now has much lower emissions than before putting it in the D band.
Engines like the the 325d and 335d have increased performance and efficiency where the new automatic transmissions also reduces emissions. The fantastic 318d comes with a 6 speed manual transmission for the first time ever. When put with the new automatic transmission it reduces emissions below the magical 150 g/km mark making it by most standards an official green car.
The exterior has been given a face-lift with two new muscular looking lines running down the bonnet and an aggressive re-profiled front grille. The apron has been redeveloped leading round to a new sporty crease down the side and larger more visible mirrors. The rear has been redesigned with new style alloys and a new body styling kit for the M type.
The interior is now more convenient, more functional and more luxurious. An optional iDrive system can be integrated into the smart new dash. There is increased interactivity with the controls and communications and with 8Gb of storage on the hard drive you can store all the music you’ll ever need.
An increased track of 24 mm improves the already fantastic driving dynamics and with the lightweight EfficientDynamics engineering the handling is improved all round. Safety is also improved with the most advanced stability control system and new safety features fitted into the headrests, air bags and seat belts.
