This July Vauxhall are set to showcase the new Insignia which comes in two models, the hatchback and saloon.
This new car has been designed to retain the beauty of its other mid range models which have had so much success over the years. The new muscular designs signifies a strong change in Vauxhall’s presence on the automotive market.
They have released a hatchback and saloon model as 5-door cars traditionally command a high percentage of the UK mid-sized class market. Vauxhall spent over 650 hours in the wind tunnel with this new model and have seriously improved the efficiency and dynamics of this size car. It now has drag coefficient of just 0.27, which might mean nothing to most but its the best in its class and thats all you need to know.
The choice of five engines, three petrol and two diesel, offer a wide variety where all of which pass the Euro 5 emissions standards.
This model is is due to be unveiled at the British International Motor Show in London from July 23 - August 3.

Ford have launched a new Titanium X Sport version of the Mondeo. Available in the Saloon, Hatchback and Estate the new version comes either a 2.5 Turbo petrol engine and a new more powerful 2.2 Tdci diEsel engine developing 173bhp. Mazda are to release a hot hatchback performance version of the Mazda 6 Hatchback. Badged MPS which stands for Mazda Performance Series the new version will use a 2.5 litre engine delivering upwards of 300bhp and customers can expect enhanced sport styling and tweaks to the handling and suspension. Peugeot have confirmed the 308 RC Z Coupe, dubbed the Peugeot TT, will go into production with delivery to customers expected to commence in 2010. The new coupe will likely share the same 1.6 litre supercharged engine seen in the Mini Cooper S and will compete with a number of new coupe cars that are expected to go into production in the next few years.

Volvo’s latest four wheel drive SUV - the Volvo XC90 is due to go into production in 2009. Smaller than the best selling XC90 the XC60 will compete against a number of new compact SUV’s from the like of Audi, VW and Mercedes. Volvo claim the new car will be their safest car yet with a number of consumer orientated gadgets in the cabin. At launch 3 engine choices will be available - one petrol and 2 diesel engines based on the 2.4 litre D5. Expect leasing rates to be circa £300-£400 per month at launch.

Volkswagen are launched a new high performance versionn of the VW Passat Saloon and Estate called the Passat R36. With a 3.6 litre V6 producing 296bhp and 4motion four wheel drive the new model will be the quickest production Passat todate. Ford has updated the Focus ST to complete the face lifted Ford Focus range. With a revised exterior and improvements in the interior quality the ST model gets a deep front bumper, side skirts and rear spoiler. The excellent 2.5 litre turbo charges petrol engine developing 222bhp is carried over from the previous modwel. The ST model is available as a 3 or 5 door hatchback and comes in 3 trim levels - ST, ST2 and ST3.

Volkswagen are offering a new Special Edition of the Golf GTi called the Pirelli. This is the second time VW have team up with Pirelli, the first being with the original GTi in 1983. As well as colour coded design touches and 18 inch alloys with Pirelli tyres the power output from the 2 litre turbo engine has been increased from 197bhp to 227bhp, The new model will be available as a 3 or 5 door version with or without VW’s DSG Automatic gearbox. Ford have given a preview to how the forth coming ST performance version of the new model Ford Fiesta may look when the Fiesta was launched at the Beijing motor show. The S model has distinctive sports styling and a 1.6 litre turbo charged engine developing 175bhp.
