Renault are releasing a coupe cabriolet version of the Twingo supermini which is set to go into production in early 2009. Expected to make its debut at the Paris Motor Show in the Autumn 2008 the new Twingo CC will be a 2 seater convertible with a target price of £10000 which should give lower leasing costs compared to its main rivals - the Peugeot 207CC, Vauxhall Tigra and Nissan Micra C+C.

The next generation of Renault’s Twingo city car will be the first to be sold in the UK in right-hand drive form. Unveiled at the Geneva motor show, the new Twingo has previously proved very popular in European markets, with almost 2.5 million sales since 1993.
The new version, built in Slovenia, will reach the UK in September and will be o
ffered with a choice of a two models: a Dynamique with a 75hp 1.2-litre petrol engine, and a GT with Renault’s new TCE (Turbo Control Efficiency) 100hp 1.2-litre petrol unit.
The interior features four seats, all of which have a slide adjustment. Renault claims best-in-class boot space with all seats in place, with both rear seats fldable to create extra storage room.
Key features will include audio poins to connect USB sticks or digital music players and optional Bluetooth connectivity. Advances on the previous model include the availability of cruise control, side airbags, climate control, automatic healdights and a height adjustable steering wheel. Prices and specifications for the UK models will be announced nearer the on-sale date.

Renault Sport Technologies unveiled the new Clio Renaultsport 197 F1 Team R27.
Offering sensations of pure performance, passion and driving pleasure, the limited edition Clio Renaultsport 197 F1 Team R27 asserts its identity through a unique look and even sportier dynamics than the standard model on which it’s based, as well as being boosted by a range of equipment drawn from the best of competition vehicles.
With its red brake callipers, Liquid Yellow Renault metallic paint, anthracite alloy wheels and exclusive Renault F1 Team and World Champion decals, this new version of the Clio Renaultsport 197 is immediately identifiable with its larger sibling, the Mégane Renaultsport 230 F1 Team R26. The interior also features Recaro seats and the numbered plaque evokes its unique sports character.
The Clio Renaultsport 197 F1 Team R27 is the first version of the Clio Renaultsport range to benefit from the ‘Cup’ chassis, which will become an option on the Clio Renaultsport 197 towards the end of the year. Its ride height is lower than the Clio Renaultsport 197 and the chassis benefits from stiffer springs and dampers.
Ordering for the car will open in April and there will be 500 examples destined for the UK. Later on in the year, customers will be able to purchase the Cup chassis as an option for the standard Clio Renaultsport 197. Renault’s ground-breaking Espace has set the benchmark in the large MPV market for more than 20 years now and the latest revised version launched earlier this year ensured it remains the most modern, stylish and safest large MPV in its segment.
Diesel engined versions of the Espace account for 90% of sales so for the 2007 model year all diesel versions are now Euro IV emission compliant with 10 more horsepower for the entry level 1.9 dCi raising the power output to 130 bhp. The mid level Dynamique trim, first introduced on Espace in January 2005, has become the most popular version, so a fresh new look with new interior and exterior features is available to order now.
The new Espace Dynamique will be available in five engine choices, one petrol, the 2.0 Turbo 170 and 2.0 Turbo 170 Auto and four new Euro IV diesel: the dCi 130, dCi 140 Automatic FAP, dCi 150 and the powerful dCi 175 FAP.
Other Espace engines available in the range include the entry level petrol 2.0 16V 140 and range topping 3.5 V6 24V 245 auto and 3.0 dCi V6 180 auto.

Renault has chosen to unveil the Koleos Concept at the 2006 Paris Motor Show.
This show car foreshadows a 4WD vehicle that Renault is due to market in the first half of 2008. The Koleos Concept car asserts its claim to the rugged and sporty world of 4WDs and boasts a wide range of practical functions for both everyday use and leisure.
Designed by Renault designers working in collaboration with the Renault Samsung Motors Design Centre in Korea it is built on a new four-wheel drive chassis and powered by the 2.0 dCi engine, both of which were developed within the framework of the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
