New Peugeot 207 CC.
Peugeot’s 206 CC was the pace-setter for a generation of small coupes with folding hard-tops, a design the company had pioneered since the 1930s. Having established itself as the world’s best selling model in its class, the 206 CC will make way in march 2007 for the 207 CC, built on the same platform as the 207 hatchback.
The new car will use a fully automatic folding roof, dispensing with the manual catches featured on the previous model. ~~Standard and turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol engines will be available, producing 120 and 150hp respectively, together with a 110hp 1.6 HDi diesel. All will use a five-speed manual gearbox with a four-speed Tiptronic automatic offered as an option on the lesser-powered petrol unit.
Sport and GT grades will be available, all equipped with a suite of five airbags and a new roll-over protection system. ~Prices and further specifications will be announced later.
