New Vauxhall Corsa now available from Nationwide
The new generation Vauxhall Corsa is scheduled to make its international debut at the British International Motor Show in July, reflecting the importance of the UK market for the model. The all-new supermini is larger than the current model and has more overtly sports styling, picking up styling themes from the latest Astra and Vectra.
The larger dimensions translate into more cabin space, with improved leg and shoulder room. ~Vauxhall (and, in Europe, Opel) promises better interior finish and quality.
Dynamically, the new Corsa will benefit from an understeer control system and is promoted as the first car in its class to offer progressive sports power steering, which is light in town driving, but which weights up with more feedback to the driver at higher speeds. The sporting theme will extend to the availability on certain models of 17-inch alloys and a lowered chassis.
At launch three petrol (1.0, 1.2 and 1.4) and two diesel (1.3 and new 125hp 1.7) engines will ~be offered. Prices and specifications will be announced nearer the public sale launch later this year.
